"Squabble Saturday”: Debate Competition
The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science successfully organized the “Squabble Saturday” Debate on 27th September 2025, as part of its student club activities. This engaging event aimed to enhance students’ critical thinking, communication, and public speaking skills through dynamic debate sessions on a variety of thought-provoking topics. Students had the opportunity to express their ideas confidently, listen actively, and appreciate diverse perspectives. Final-year students served as judges, fostering a culture of peer learning and mentorship. The activity not only encouraged respectful dialogue and teamwork but also empowered participants to become more open-minded and articulate—skills essential for academic and professional success.
Bug Hunting: Sharpening Debugging & Problem-Solving Skills
The Bug Hunting activity is designed to enhance Artificial Intelligence and Data Science students’ ability to identify and fix errors in code, a vital skill in real-world programming. Through engaging tasks, students develop confidence in debugging, logical thinking, and analytical problem-solving. The activity fosters teamwork and collaboration while making learning interactive and enjoyable, helping students view coding challenges as opportunities to improve. By bridging classroom learning with industry practices, Bug Hunting equips participants with practical skills, improves employability, and prepares them for technical interviews and professional software development roles.
Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science organized Induction Program for 3rd Semester Students .
The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science organized an Induction Program for 3rd Semester students across multiple days, combining learning, creativity, and fun. On 16th September 2025, students took part in a Brainstorming session to boost creative and logical thinking. On 17th September 2025, an AI Tools Awareness session introduced them to cutting-edge technologies and their real-world applications. This was followed by an AI Tool Presentation on 18th September 2025, where students showcased their knowledge through interactive demonstrations. The program concluded on 19th September 2025 with a Fun Activity, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and engagement. Overall, the program provided a balanced mix of technical learning and interactive experiences, preparing students for a successful semester ahead.
Industrial Visit to Outofbox Cloud Pvt. Ltd., Belagavi
The students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, AITM Belagavi, visited Outofbox Cloud Private Limited, located in Sadashiv Nagar, Belagavi, on 22nd September 2025. The company provides a simple and scalable cloud platform designed to meet the needs of developers, startups, and businesses. It offers a flexible cloud infrastructure that enables users to build, run, and scale applications efficiently. During the visit, students observed various components of cloud infrastructure, including the creation and management of Virtual Machines and compute resources, the use of Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) for secure and isolated networking, and the implementation of firewalls and secure connectivity. They also explored the data center setup, which included physical and virtual servers, server racks, cooling systems, and backup power solutions. In addition, students were introduced to essential networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as storage systems including databases and cloud storage. This visit provided valuable practical exposure to modern cloud technologies, helping students connect classroom learning with industry practices.
Expert Talk on Private Area Networks (PANs) and the Future of Telecommunications
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, AITM Belagavi, organized an Industry Mentor Interaction on 23rd August 2025 featuring Mr. Vishal Khatavkar, Telecommunication Professional from Nokia, Bangalore.The session focused on Private Area Networks (PANs), their industrial applications, and the future of telecommunications. Mr. Khatavkar shared valuable insights on how PANs are shaping modern networking and encouraged students to connect academic learning with real-world tech trends.
Students actively participated, gaining a clearer understanding of emerging networking technologies and their role in innovation. The event aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practices, fostering a future-ready mindset.

AITM AI & DS Students Showcase Projects at 48th State-Level Poster Presentation and Project Exhibition at JNNCE, Shivamogga
Students from the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science department of AITM participated in the 48th State-Level Poster Presentation and Project Exhibition held on 1st and 2nd August 2025 at JNNCE, Shivamogga. Organized by KSCST, the event provided a platform to showcase innovative student projects, reflecting AITM’s focus on practical learning and technological excellence.
AITM's Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Department Students Spreads AI Awareness in Government Schools
Students from the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AIDS) Department of Angadi Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Belagavi, conducted AI awareness programs in government schools across Karnataka. The initiative aimed to introduce school students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and its real-world applications. Through engaging sessions and hands-on activities, the students simplified complex concepts and encouraged interest in technology among young minds. The program reflects AITM’s commitment to education, innovation, and social responsibility.
Industrial Visit to Enerzi Microwave Systems Pvt. Ltd.,Udyambag, Belagavi, Karnataka.
On 26th April 2025, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science organized an industrial visit to Enerzi Microwave Systems Pvt. Ltd., located in Udyambag, Belagavi, Karnataka, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The visit was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practices by exposing students to advanced industrial technologies. Enerzi, a leader in microwave system innovations, specializes in energy conservation and quality enhancement across various industrial applications. The visit aimed to help students understand the role of microwave technology in industry, observe energy-efficient solutions, explore methods used to reduce casting defects in foundries, and gain insights through interaction with industry professionals.
The visit contributed to several key Program Outcomes (POs), including Engineering Knowledge, Design and Development of Solutions, Teamwork, and Effective Communication. A total of 23 students participated, guided by Prof. Chetan S. Patil and Prof. Vaibhav Chavan, both Assistant Professors in the AI&DS department.
Industrial Visit to Vijaykant Dairy and Food Products Pvt. Ltd., Bailhongal
On 22nd April 2025, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science organized an industrial visit to Vijaykant Dairy and Food Products Pvt. Ltd., located in Bailhongal, Belagavi, Karnataka, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with firsthand exposure to real-time processes in the food processing industry, particularly focusing on the automation technologies used in the production of dairy products such as milk and ice cream. This experience was designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world industrial applications. The visit was attended by 55 students, accompanied by two faculty members—Prof. Chetan S. Patil and Prof. Vaibhav Chavan, both Assistant Professors in AI&DS. The visit supported key Program Outcomes (POs) such as Engineering Knowledge, Design and Development of Solutions, Teamwork, and Communication.
Parents-Teacher Meeting Organized by the Department of AI & DS at AITM, Belagavi
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS) at Angadi Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Belagavi, organized a Parents-Teacher Meeting on April 12, 2025. Prof. Sagar Birje, Head of the Department, welcomed parents and shared the department’s vision and mission. The meeting highlighted notable achievements by students and faculty, including participation and accolades in hackathons, technical events, and research contributions. Faculty members presented a detailed review of students’ academic progress, discussing key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement. The department elaborated on ongoing and upcoming placement drives, internship programs, and industry collaborations aimed at enhancing students’ career readiness and professional growth. The meeting served as a vital platform for open communication, allowing parents to share their inputs, concerns, and suggestions.
VENCER 2K25 – A National Fest of Talent and Culture at AITM, Belagavi
AITM, Belagavi hosted VENCER 2K25, a two-day national techno-cultural fest with 200+ students from various colleges. The AI & DS department conducted various technical events, adding to the vibrant mix of cultural shows and competitions, celebrating talent, innovation, and youth spirit.
Guest Talk by Mr. Girish A. Sankannavar on “AI in Automotive” at AITM
The Department of AI & Data Science at Angadi Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Belagavi, hosted a guest talk on “AI in Automotive” on February 22, 2025. Mr. Girish A. Sankannavar, Validation Engineer at Mahle Pvt Ltd, Pune, shared insights into the impact of AI on autonomous vehicles, predictive maintenance, driver assistance systems, and smart manufacturing.
Organized under the guidance of Prof. Sagar Birje, the session provided students with practical knowledge of AI applications in the automotive industry. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, enriching students’ understanding and encouraging career exploration in AI-driven automotive technologies.
Guest Talk on IT Skills & Trending Courses for Career Growth at AITM
The Departments of AI & DS and Computer Science & Engineering at AITM, Belagavi, organized a guest talk featuring Mr. Mujeeb Arab, IT Manager at Capgemini. The session focused on essential IT skills and trending courses for career advancement.
Mr. Arab highlighted the demand for expertise in AI, Data Science, ML, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and Software Development. He also shared tips on interview preparation, hands-on projects, and building a strong portfolio.
Inauguration of AI & DS Association 2024 and Fresher’s Welcome at AITM
The Department of AI & DS at AITM, Belagavi, held the Inaugural Function of the Student Association 2024 and Fresher’s Welcome on 15th October 2024.
Chief Guest Mr. Shrinivas Balaraju, Founder & CEO of Smart Sutra and NISAT, shared valuable insights on AI, ML, and career development. The event included a welcome dance, felicitation of academic toppers, and inspiring addresses by faculty and guests.

Vencer was organized on 11th and 12th may 2023. It is cultural fest which is conducted every year in even semester; the fest is mainly focusing on exploring the hidden talent in budding engineers. A session on Networking was conducted by Mr. Sanjay Jeddar, EDP, HOD explaining about how networking is done in the entire industry and as to how data is collected and processed from all the departments and stored on to the server. Sir also explained about the IOT App used by the industry to get real time updates from growing of sugarcane, harvesting and getting it to the industry.

Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at AITM
A symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics was conducted on 24th and 25th June 2022. The symposium was inaugurated by Member of Parliament Smt Mangal Angadi Madam and Registrar Evaluation (VTU) Dr. B. E. Rangaswamy. The opening keynote Speaker of the Symposium was Dr Kavi Mahesh, Director, IIIT Dharwad. A session on AI and Robotics in Automobile applications was conducted by Mr. Aravindraj. A, Manager, Vehicle Attribute Engineering, Horiba Pvt India Ltd, Pune explaining the concept of self-driving cars and the importance of AI in vehicular technologies. A session on AI – Present and Future was conducted by Mr. Ajay Kabadi, Founder & CEO, Docketrun Pvt Ltd, Huballi .The session included explanation of present applications of AI with interesting videos of the current scenario. The session also concentrated on what will be the future of AI.
